Being a team player to get the job done
When the Southwest Michigan Symphony wanted to close their season with an epic concert titled "Symphony Unexpected" they gave us a call asking for some help. The job was easy enough: create a synchronized visual to accompany Mason Bates' score, "Mothership." Our team at The Loft delivered beyond expectations with a 3-screen video installment and a synchronized light program that gave strong 'dub step' and 'club' vibes.
But along the way we were also able to demonstrate flexibility and resiliency as the project met one obstacle after another. From rights issues to technical challenges in the hall, we just kept re-inventing the project to make sure the audience experience was memorable.

Stepping up to fill a need

In August of 2025 a new concert venue opened in Shakopee, MN. The Stable at Boardwalk Kitchen & Bar is a dance venue with all coolest toys, including a 30 foot LED wall and a pro lighting rig. It quickly became a popular spot to see some of the most popular cover bands in town.
There was just one problem: staffing budgets only covered a single tech. Which meant most nights the screen and lights were very under-utilized.
The Loft crew joined up with the team at ICM Technolgies to deliver a unique, first of its kind solution. Within just a few months we delivered a new version of the Muséik software with new functionality and a growing library of synchronized videos for the most common cover tunes.
Today a single tech is able to mix audio AND drive synchronized video and lights simultaneously using the content and technology developed through this partnership.

Proving our skills at designing an immersive audience experience

Adding lights and video to a live band concert is not rare any longer. But carefully designing a show around a theme and then including multiple immersive elements to take the audience on a magical journey through all the senses is unique.
This is exactly what the team at The Loft did for the retirement concert of Bill Olson at Blaine High School. The concert theme was "The Blue Marble." Along with the music performed by the band, we created fully synchronized visuals across three display surfaces. We also installed and programmed our own lights to amplify the lighting capabilities in the hall. And we transported the audience to a rainforest by adding spacial audio FX during one selection.
By blending music, lights, script, FX and more, we create powerful immersive experiences for audiences no matter the size or budget of the presenting organization. It is what we do best of all.
We create magic on stage.
