The fast answer is that Stage Sync™ products are digital sync files with no content pre-loaded. The files are unlocked and ready to drive your audio tracks, videos, or other digital assets.
If you plan to bring digital files onstage for your performance (video, backing tracks, light programs, etc) you will need to sync those digital assets with your live performance. Historically each ensemble makes its own sync, but it is not a perfect solution. Click tracks are restrictive. Manual cue firing is clunky and accident prone. And who has the time to make a really great sync file?
Muséik has been driving digital content with the world's most advanced digital sync for ten years. No click tracks, no manual cue firing; just an elegant and artistic sync that puts the power back in the performer's hands.
Stage Sync™ files are played exclusively through the Muséik software. Be sure to download both the sync file and the software from our website to prepare your show. You will also need access to the files for the content you want to load in.
When you open the Stage Sync™ Show File in Muséik, you will have the ability to load in your own video and/or audio files. Once they are loaded, hit "play" and control your own digital assets with the precision and flexibility you have come to expect from Muséik.
Need to make an edit or swap out files? No problem. Load in the new files and you are all set. Want to fire light cues but don't need audio or video? Stage Sync™ can do that, too. Write your light program, enter the cue millisecond data, connect Muséik to your light board, and fire away! The video and audio bays will be empty, but you will deliver your light cues with precision.
The seamless sync delivered by Muséik and Stage Sync™ requires careful preparation of your digital files before loading them into the program. When you order a Stage Sync™ file you will receive a folder full of assets that will help you create your custom and flawlessly syncd performance.
Creating a Film:
The .mov file in the folder contains the scrolling score and sync audio that is the Muséik 'secret sauce'. Load this .mov file into any video programming software and use it as a guide to build your content to fit perfectly inside the Stage Sync™. It is very important to use the sync audio provided with your Stage Sync™ purchase.
Creating light cues:
The .mov file in the folder contains millisecond data. Open the .mov file in QuickTime or another video player. Use the audio, scrolling score, and millisecond data to plan your cues with precision. Enter that cue data into our user friendly web interface and download it as a .json file.
Creating backing tracks or SFX:
The .mp3 file in the folder contains the sync audio . If you are building backing tracks or SFX, use a DAW (digital audio workstation) to lay in the .mp3 file and use it as a guide to build your audio tracks as you'd like them.
Building your digital files to match our sync is a critical step in producing a perfectly syncd live performance.

The Stage Sync™ Show File you will load into Muséik for your performance.
A .mov video file that contains the scrolling score, sync audio, and millisecond and SIMPTE timecode data.
A .wav or .mp3 audio file that includes the sync audio used in the Stage Sync™ file.
In order to purchase a Stage Sync™ product you will need to be logged into an ICM account with an active Muséik subscription. Every Stage Sync™ product description includes performance details like score form or how fermatas are handled in the specific sync.
Once you've found the right Stage Sync™ for your performance, add it to your cart. Don't forget to add the Muséik software to your cart, too! After placing your order, you will have immediate access to your downloads.

Step Four: Reach out to us! If you have a specific score for your next performance that's not yet a part of our collection, OR if you want a custom Stage Sync™ (changes to the form or sync audio), let us know. As part of your paid Muséik subscription, you receive discounts on production services.
