MEET THE TEAM
SCOTT WINTERS
President & CEO / Founder
Scott Winters is a conductor, music educator, accomplished businessman, and filmmaker. He has served as Director of Instrumental Music at Bethany Lutheran College (Mankato, MN) and as Music Director of the Minnetonka Civic Orchestra. He founded a non-profit art school in Burnsville, MN and grew it into a large community art center. He invented Muséik as a way to avoid using click tracks and other bothersome synchronizing methods in his conducting gigs. Muséik has taken him around the world, working with major musical acts and developing digital content for clients big and small. He is passionate about the future of concert multimedia and his work developing synchronizing technologies that allow for free artistic expression on stage.
J ANTHONY ALLEN
Co-Founder / Advisor
Dr. J. Anthony Allen is a creator of things. Sometimes they’re related to music, but not always. He uses his background as a composer to inform whatever he sets his mind to creating, whether it’s music for an orchestra, a business, an app, a new electronic instrument, or ideas for his next composition (ask him about sailing the Arctic in nonstop sunlight). J has been with the company from the beginning, serving as its first CTO and now in a governance/advising role.
TIMOTHY SHADE
Vice President
Dr. Timothy Shade is an active conductor, performer, and arranger/transcriber. He is currently the Director of the School of Music and Director of Bands at Wichita State University in Wichita, KS. His relationship with the company began when the Wichita Symphony asked him to operate Muséik for a concert. Tim has filled roles in the company in production, marketing, senior advising, and more. He currently serves as the Vice President of the board. His passion for the company and innovative ideas and counseling have been directly responsible for important strategic developments and increased sales. Tim is an admitted foodie and bourbon connoisseur.
CRAIG RICE
Board of Directors
Craig Rice is a true Renaissance Man and a local legend in the Twin Cities film scene. He has worked as a studio musician, entertainment executive, filmmaker, entrepreneur and more. He has served as executive director of Paisley Park in Chanhassen, MN, road manager for Prince's Purple Rain Tour, and stage crew for Pink Floyd's The Wall Tour. As a film maker his credits are extensive and include feature length films, documentaries and music videos.
