Description

George E. Scott’s clever band score was written specifically to accompany these clips from Charlie Chaplin’s 1916 classic film “The Rink.” Love and jealousy collide at the roller rink in this charming, 3-minute film featuring Chaplin at his best. Be the first in your district to program a Chaplin film! This fantastic little film will earn you compliments from colleagues and parents alike! Originally scored for concert band, Mr. Scott is willing to produce an orchestral score upon request.

2 reviews for George Scott: THE RINK scene (Chaplin)

  1. 5 out of 5

I did this piece with my college wind ensemble and we had a blast. The audience got all the jokes and it was an excellent challenge for my ensemble because of all of the sudden tempo fluctuations.

  2. 5 out of 5

Excellent work by George Scott. An approachable score for school ensembles set to one of the all-time classic silent film scenes. Love the use of percussion in his score!!
